Since 2008, Free The Children’s youth summits have brought young people together for a day of learning about social issues and leadership building. At the Washington Youth Summit, through a series of workshops, you will start to break down the issues that you care about and lay the foundation for how to take action.

In 1995, 12-year-old Craig Kielburger learned the story of slain child laborer Iqbal Masih, which inspired him to start Free The Children. This April 18, eighteen years later, join us in honoring Iqbal’s legacy by taking a silent stand together, and celebrating the power of unified action. Collect pledges for each hour you are silent, up to 24 hours.
Child labor took Iqbal’s voice. Together, we can take it back.

We Day is an investment. The immediate impact is the millions of dollars raised for local and international charities, and the millions of hours volunteered. The long-term impact is that young people are more likely to volunteer, vote and give—for years to come.
