| Educational partners are key to the success of the We Day movement. Free The Children is proud to partner with a number of school boards and districts for the 2011 We Schools in Action Program, expanding the reach and impact of We Day more than ever before. The success of We Day and the local and global impact of its program simply would not be possible without the support of our educational partners. Our partners commit both time and resources to include and support their students in participating in this world-changing movement. |
Through an educational partnership with Free The Children, you not only guarantee the opportunity for your students to experience a life-changing We Day event, but also enable your schools to explore innovative and exciting avenues in order to achieve learning objectives and foster active global citizenship.
Free The Children invites administrators to bring the We Schools in Action program to their schools through program partnership. This constitutes a commitment to collaborate on the delivery of the program, with support from the board at key intervals such as promoting registration and submitting reports.
If you are a school board official and interested in becoming an official educational partner, please contact Devora Winston, Youth Programming & Partnerships Director, by e-mailing Devora@freethechildren.com.
Throughout this year-long program, young people turn their inspiration into tangible results by engaging in both local and global actions. Meanwhile, teachers receive dynamic resources to help mentor their students and embed social justice lessons in their classroom.
The We Schools in Action program has provided direct results for its participants and their communities. Students take the messages of We Day back to their schools and mobilize their peers to take action through existing initiatives or new ones that have been sparked by the event.
