We Day Featured on 60 Minutes
What an incredible thrill and honour to have our work featured on 60 Minutes once again! It is rare that an organization is given the opportunity to appear on the most prestigious, influential and hard-hitting of all the US news magazine shows. And Sunday night’s episode marks our second appearance. We are blessed with the incredible chance of lightning striking again.
It’s been 16 years since the legendary Ed Bradley visited Thornhill, Ontario to interview Craig at his home-turned-headquarters. It’s hard to describe the impact of that one show on the course of our history. The house soon had piles of mail delivered from stunned post office staff dragging multiple white canvas bags straight from the post office.
The humble roots of Free The Children (and now Me to We) are forever true. And the update on our work, now shared with some 13 million viewers, is humbling still. If you haven’t had a chance to see the “latest” 60 Minutes segment, click on the video to the right.
